Services Offered


Martin County Senior Citizens Program offers a variety of services and activities to the community. Usually, the only requirement for these services is that you are the age of 60 and above. Individual programs and services may require additional information. Unnecessary information will not be collected by the program staff. Please call us if you have any questions.

SERVICES OFFERED

Lunch at the center is served on Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

TELEPHONE REASSURANCE

Telephone reassurance to homebound clients to make sure everything is okay - done once a day by the program director or program assistant Monday through Friday.

MEALS ON WHEELS

Lunch is delivered to many Martin County shut-ins. This program requires a check by the director of senior services or case worker of the home situation and about the individual (s) in the home. Requestors may be placed a waiting list for a period of time before services actually start. Meals on Wheels are delivered on the following schedule: Monday - hot meal & frozen meal for Tuesday. Wednesday - hot meal & frozen meal for Thursday. Friday - hot meal. Meals on Wheels vans opearate on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

INFORMATION & ASSISTANCE

For seniors who don't know where to obtain something or where something is located. Call the center and the staff will do all that we can to obtain a phone number to the office that can assist you.

LEGAL ASSISTANCE

Periodically the program has an attorney or paralegal visit to aid the seniors in establishing wills or to answer other legal questions. Call to schedule an appointment.

ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

Our activities assistant schedules bands, card playing, bingo and other games and activities to be held at the center several times a month. Call or visit the activities calendar to see when these are planned.
 
TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULE

Vans operate county-wide each Tuesday and Thursday. If you need a ride call us at 298-3459 before 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday to arrange transportation.
















Upcoming Events
 

Bible Study with Will from ARO will be every Tuesday from noon until 1:00 in conference room. Please feel free to stay after lunch and take part. Vans will take seniors home at 1:30 on Tuesdays.

Line Dancing on Tuesday evenings from 6 until 8. Please call for more details.
